Hot Rod was first introduced in The Transformers: The Movie, where he was voiced by Judd Nelson. He transforms into a futuristic red sports car, with flames painted on the hood and doors.
Hot Rod has displayed the ability to shoot lasers out of his forearms as well as having a retractable saw blade.
